Monday, January 9, 2023 - I am a lover of Gigondas. I think some of the better ones, like the Les Pallieres, Les Racines, rival a good CDP, and are profound.

This is quite obviously, not on a comparable level. It is quite primary, with some modest red fruit, and a nice bit of funk. But, the mouthfeel is lacking, the acids are unimpressive, the balance is weak, and there is not enough present, to offer anything more than a decent wine with dinner. This is a decent wine. Soft and easy drinking. But, that is about it. I would not seek it out.
