Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - Opened and let sit for 30 minutes. First aromas and taste are vanilla / oak. Lots of oak, but it blows off after 15 minutes. Interesting to see how these age. After 3 1/2 years, the tannins have softened to a velvety dusting. There's still a good amount of dark fruit, but it's become muddled and less distinct. No significant vegetable / stewed vegetable notes or other secondary characteristics yet.
