Amazingly, I still have two of these left in my cellar. Brought one of them to Thanksgiving dinner. Way past its prime. Tastes like a mediocre port—sweet berry reduction, but with a thin, watery middle. Still, it was enjoyed by several people at dinner, and I’m happy to have the shelf space back in my cellar.

Opened and let sit for 30 minutes. First aromas and taste are vanilla / oak. Lots of oak, but it blows off after 15 minutes. Interesting to see how these age. After 3 1/2 years, the tannins have softened to a velvety dusting. There's still a good amount of dark fruit, but it's become muddled and less distinct. No significant vegetable / stewed vegetable notes or other secondary characteristics yet.

This got ridiculously smooth while losing none of its power. Solid Zin, with plenty of tannins and oak to pair with the fruit that's still zippy at the front end.

Still smooth and very drinkable 10 years on. Delicious on first night with grilled steak and second night with tagliatelle Bolognese.

Was surprising better than I expected. Had it before but 2013 with a bit of age was quite decent, balanced with good fruit.
