No longer shrouded in baby fat, the wine has likely hit whatever stride it is going to have. A fair example of a Southern Rhône red with good balance and medium weight. Straight forward and simply tasty on its own or with lighter fare.
There is nice fruit- blue, black, and a touch of red currant; there is a nice little hint of herbaceousness; there is a tiny hint of spice on the finish.
The wine is composed showing decent acid and integrated tannins. It doesn’t seem like a lot of upside for waiting.
Drink now and over the next year or so.
