Friday, January 25, 2019 - 30 minute decant in the glass through a powered aerator. Deep purplish red with a brick red rim. Nose of violets, slate, oak and earth. Taste is sweet on the entry (not fully ripened blackberry) before turning more earthy (mushrooms, slate, tobacco and dry rock). Some citrus like taste and effervescence, particularly on the finish. Medium plus tannins but well integrated tannins give it a pleasant chalky dryness. About 91.
