Drank blind with a 2019 Paul Hobbs Beckerstoffer/Crane and a Jordan cab. This was my favorite with the Hobbs a close second (it was the overall winner by the group). I think part of selection is it was the oldest and smoothest. Deep purple with pasty blueberry and blackberry with crushed black pepper. Some vegetal notes of green pepper. Nice length and ultra smooth tannins.

Very approachable with minimum decant. Celebrated at my daughter's rehearsal dinner in St. Augustine with a 3 liter double magnum and turned the bottle into a souvenir with each guest signing the (empty) bottle.
Very smooth, nicely balanced tannins and acidity yet full flavored with the Napa "punch".

11/26/2019 12:43:00 PM - Hello Rockyii and thanks for becoming a fan. This next January IŽll be turning 50 , so expect that most of my very best wines will be opened for such an event. Cheers!
9/9/2018 7:06:00 AM - Yo Rocky....great to connect on CT. Looks like we have very similar tastes. I plan to mine your consumed list for some pointers. Love the Vino discovery process.
3/7/2018 6:11:00 AM - Rockyii -- Thanks for the feedback regarding the Seghesio Monte Rosso. I have two bottles left and will try a three hour decant to see if it evolves!
12/8/2017 5:20:00 PM - Your in the right place Rocky. I'm a big Cab. fan but I love the many wines Paso Robles delivers. So many great wines. Epoc, Torrin, Saxum, law, Herman Story, and on and on.
8/24/2017 3:26:00 PM - Hey Rockyii....thanks for reaching out. Seems we both like our cabs :).....there are just so many good ones out there today! Hope to be talking to you. Great that you are just over on the other coast. Was in WPB for a concert last week. Cheers! Mark
7/25/2017 10:38:00 PM - Rocky, thanks for becoming a fan. I'm honored! Looks like we only have the Delille Four Flags in common specifically, but overall we seem to like many of the same wines. Good luck on your wine journey and finding that dream wine.
9/16/2016 6:06:00 AM - Thanks BDC. I'm sure you figured out I'm primarily a cab guy too. I like the detail of your tasting notes and plan to try a few that you've enjoyed over the years.

Thank you for becoming a fan of my tasting notes, I read your TN and noticed Baldacci and Hall and B.R. Cohn. Nice going. Wine is like old age, the older I get, the more I like it.
