93 Points

Monday, October 7, 2019 - One of two bottles opened at a party. Darker garnet with some scarlet at the edges. Arresting, full-scale nose of cassis, dark currant, hyacinth, earth, and leather. Intense, deeply pitched layers of black currant, blackberry, graphite, tobacco, and brambly earth on the palate. Moderate acidity and firm but filed-off tannin, leading to a long finish of echoing dark currant fruit infused with stone and savory earth. Quite delicious.
