We drank this alongside a 2000 Pontet-Canet, generously provided by our guest Joe O'Toole and this more than held its own against that renowned Second Growth. Beautifully balanced, with wonderful depth and a finish that just goes on and on, echoing notes of espresso, licorice and mineral. Very, very Bordeaux-like. Could not possibly ask for more in an Alexander Valley Sonoma cabernet at this price point.
