Sunday, December 4, 2022 - 3rd of 8. This is just outstanding. There is some bricking at this point. On the nose and palate: loads of pine, anise, thyme and sweet cherry fruit galore. On the palate, the fruit is so concentrated and sweet, just delicious. I decanted it for about 5 hours and it needed it. The mouthfeel is rich and the finish is pretty long. The tannins are a bit rough still, making the wine a bit rustic and better with food, but it is a delight and I am glad to have 5 left. I think there is sufficient fruit to age this and allow the tannins to settle down a bit more. Drink now through 2034.
