3rd of 8. This is just outstanding. There is some bricking at this point. On the nose and palate: loads of pine, anise, thyme and sweet cherry fruit galore. On the palate, the fruit is so concentrated and sweet, just delicious. I decanted it for about 5 hours and it needed it. The mouthfeel is rich and the finish is pretty long. The tannins are a bit rough still, making the wine a bit rustic and better with food, but it is a delight and I am glad to have 5 left. I think there is sufficient fruit to age this and allow the tannins to settle down a bit more. Drink now through 2034.

Fortfarande mycket bra.

Delicious basic Barbaresco. It needs a ton of air (4 hours in a decanter minimum) at this point, but with time it gains in weight and the nose opens up. Tannins are huge and acidity is perfect. It goes so well with food. This is an outstanding wine with lots of life left.

red & dark berries, slight herbs, balanced but noticeable oak, nice bright acid.
