Saturday, December 16, 2017 - First impression on the colour is; “full maturity”, which is a misperception (Knowing the wines of Alexander Gaunoux; these wines require very long cellaring). The nose is intense, leather, dark berries, cedar. Very intense and it opens up nicely after 1-2 hours in the glass. In the mouth a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. After some hours a nice complexity. Classic-style Pommard. This is a wine for food. Drink now or keep in the cellar for your children to enjoy! 90+
