Tuesday, September 25, 2007 - Deep ruby and noticeably leggy in the glass; high vanilla (sherbet), black cherry, black olive; lively palate with a full body of thick fruit and nearly "old world" tannins but soft too. I was impressed by this wine - very pleasant drinking indeed. Not particularly complex or developed yet. Prefer this to the Rustenberg JXM 2004 earlier this year - not fair comparison but......
