Wednesday, November 24, 2021 - Lunch tasting flight (6) at Olivier Leflaive, Puligny-Montrachet: Very fresh for a seven year old wine, I would not have guessed this at all. Acidity really very much to the fore here. Like fresh apples, made me suck my teeth. Reminded me of a younger Aligoté for some reason, likely that killer sharp streak, but with a slightly fatter core that just helped to keep this within limits. I had a bottle of Alain Gras Saint Romain 2015 a few days back which was much more balanced, and consequently much better.
