Thursday, December 4, 2008 - Light red colour. Liked the nose - burgundian "barnyard/wet dog", earth, strawberries, raspberries, some pepper and rosepetals. On the other hand the taste was a little disappointing. Light bodied, very wattery entry - not picking up many tastenotes within the first 1-2 sec. Though the midpalate it increases with notes of raspberries, earth (almost muddy) and minerals. Good firm tannins. Unfortunately it finishes a little like it started - short, wattery and perfumed/alcoholic. Decent pinot at 12$ but not something that will keep my awake at night. Will drink my last bottle chilled on a varm sommer evening with grilled chicken or salmon.
