Thursday, November 2, 2023 - Fairly deep ruby/purple, semi-opaque. Ripe red fruit on the nose (raspberry, cherry and some cassis), with notes of dark chocolate and spice. Remarkably friendly on the palate, greeting you with oodles of soft, smooth tannins and red fruit upfront. This is fine to drink, but still seems tightly-wound and somewhat muted. In an ideal world, I wish this had a touch more acidity for long-term aging, though I don't find it unbalanced at all. Will try another bottle in a few weeks. Stay tuned.
