Fairly deep ruby/purple, semi-opaque. Ripe red fruit on the nose (raspberry, cherry and some cassis), with notes of dark chocolate and spice. Remarkably friendly on the palate, greeting you with oodles of soft, smooth tannins and red fruit upfront. This is fine to drink, but still seems tightly-wound and somewhat muted. In an ideal world, I wish this had a touch more acidity for long-term aging, though I don't find it unbalanced at all. Will try another bottle in a few weeks. Stay tuned.

Disappointing once again. For a 2015 there should be more here. Density is fine but no excitement. I want more olive, more herb, more wildness. This is tame and foursquare.

Dark opaque purple, with a quite pure nose of blackberry and a rocky note. Palate has structure and chewy tannin, some dark fruits, and good freshness. Not a lot of depth or intrigue here, but a good example of well made Syrah.

this is still a complete dud of a wine to this point... funny story, when i first opened the corked bottle before i opened this one, i gave it a whiff and had a moment of optimism thinking to myself "hell yeah there's some earthy notes in there, this could be could be coming to life." came back to it a few minutes later and the earth turned into a faint cardboard note, a few minutes later and thing was blown up with taint and i felt like a fool haha. sadly that was the most interesting bottle of this wine so far :(
