Thursday, October 25, 2018 - Deep Ruby, with just the slightest hint of aging around the rim. Medium intense developed aromas of blueberry, stewed blackberry, black olive, cured meat, and just a hint of vanilla. Pronounced flavors follow the nose. The wine still has a very healthy dose of gritty tannins, but they are well-balanced by medium plus to high acid. Super long finish. This one is definitely ready to drink now, but has the solid underpinnings to lie down for several more years. The wine opened up, and became even more expressive, with a little time in the glass.
