  • I still really enjoy this - flirty and approachable. Thinner finish but sometimes that’s what you want versus overwhelming viscosity. Cherry, cedar, great old world balance - certainly cannot be accused of being fruit forward. Like most Italian wines, great with food or can stand on its own. Tannins and acid in a good place. Would drink now.

Alt i alt.

  • Nice - thinner but still delightful. Boastful Cherry, fun fruit, bright and well rounded. Structured tannins. In the zone. Flirtatious but still sophisticated.

  • When first opened, the corked looked almost moldy. It also had a funky nose, and I contemplated dumping. Fast fwd to 90 minutes later and it presented beautifully, with a classic Bolgheri finish. Dark berries, flint, leather, dried herbs, cocoa butter and hints of smoke. GdG is a total up and comer and one of the better Tuscan buys.

  • Deep Ruby, with just the slightest hint of aging around the rim. Medium intense developed aromas of blueberry, stewed blackberry, black olive, cured meat, and just a hint of vanilla. Pronounced flavors follow the nose. The wine still has a very healthy dose of gritty tannins, but they are well-balanced by medium plus to high acid. Super long finish. This one is definitely ready to drink now, but has the solid underpinnings to lie down for several more years. The wine opened up, and became even more expressive, with a little time in the glass.

  • Medium dark red. Elegant nose, cassis, cedar box and herbs. A bit more developed then one might have expected. Very Bordeaux like. Dry herbal, coffee bean and cassis flavours and a rich tannic finish.

    I liked this a lot.
