Initially I thought something Italian but then got sidetracked and landed back with a Cab that had some age. Wrong. Should have stayed with my instinct. Tangy, herby, earthy aromatic with tarry, plentiful fruit that finishes with some tannin. Chris said this likely needed more air to flesh out and I would also add that this wine has plenty of stuffing and acidity to cruise right along for some time.
