Monday, February 25, 2019 - The nose was gorgeous, showing violet-infused blackberries, wild herbs, dark earth, crushed stone minerality, and savory smokiness. On the palate, I found silky textures offset by sour cherry and blackberry with pepper, savory herbs, minerals and tantalizing acidity. The '14 continues to be deceptively juicy yet with saturating tannin that showed more through the lengthy finish, which displayed dried orange, savory spices, pepper and inner violet florals.
