Majority of grenache completed with syrah and mourvedre. There's no destemming here. Nevertheless, tannins are well integrated and present just enough to give some structure to the wine. I love the '14 vintage, just like '11, for its bloodiness and earthy red fruit profile. Little leather notes as well along some garrigue. Far from your typical jammy, hot Gigondas, this is definitely one of the very best vigneron for this appelation.

Was hoping for some of the profile Eric describes, but sadly my bottle was a rather dull affair. Nothing wrong or off with the bottle, but just a one note sort of red that doesn’t leave me wanting more, but rather questioning all the fuss. If it’s priced right then this can be a nice food wine, but honestly there are many cotes du Rhône I would prefer over this.

The nose was gorgeous, showing violet-infused blackberries, wild herbs, dark earth, crushed stone minerality, and savory smokiness. On the palate, I found silky textures offset by sour cherry and blackberry with pepper, savory herbs, minerals and tantalizing acidity. The '14 continues to be deceptively juicy yet with saturating tannin that showed more through the lengthy finish, which displayed dried orange, savory spices, pepper and inner violet florals.

Surprisingly much lighter bodied than I expected. Very light, clear, see through color, more like a Beaujolais Nouveau. Not a lot of flavor in this wine, and nothing to get the least bit excited about. Very disappointing wine.

Medium to full bodied. Intense ruby red color. Black cherries and dark fruit, touch of spice and pepper, nicely balanced with a long finish, great with grilled meat, heaven with a cassoulet on a chilly night. Might mellow out a bit in a year or two, but life's too short and this is drinking extremely well right now.
