Saturday, July 14, 2007 - Initially upon opening this wine seemed very very restrained, but it opened up quite well with a little air. Wonderful fruit aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, plums, anise and spice. Very smooth and elegant, fullbodied, very dark texture, very soft tannins and not that dry. Perfect balance. Cherries, blueberries, boysenberries, raspberries and some anise carry on and on with a long seamless finish. This is definately my style zin, although I prefer it to be without anise, but it is still very good. Alcohol is quite subdued even when drank with a little spicy BBQ sauce. Good thing napacabs.com still has some bottles of this!
