Saturday, February 18, 2012 - Nose: Inky, lilly aromas with some funk and black cherries. After aeration less funk and more spicy black cherry with good gravelly minerality. Palate: The inky flavor shows initially but after about 2 hours of bottle air things start to unwind nicely and the black cherry is most noticable with the mineral presense as well. Very soft tannins and an elegant finish. Last tasting notes on 9/20/09. This has evolved beautifully so it will be interesting to determine when to open my last bottle. Perhaps 1 1/2 -2 years max given the approachability now. 92+ points.
