Monday, October 16, 2017 - Not bad for a budget US Cab: less fruit driven than most. Had blackcurrant, red current, blackberry and herbaceous aromas with a smokiness and licorice. Medium bodied, lots of soft ripe tannins and a refreshingly high level of acid. A nice sipping wine on it's own. With salt in food it turned rather fruitier.
