Monday, August 5, 2019 - Rich ruby core with medium plus to high optical density, medium reflectivity, and a slightly amber rim. Nose of dusty fruits and vegetal garden soil, with a touch of green pepper (but complementary way, not a flaw). Very woodsy and tart red fruit dominant. The palate is fresh in acidity (medium plus to high), medium in body, and with firm tannins and a texture that is open-grained. Electrical tension here dancing across the palate, building some excitement. Flavours of red fruits (cranberry, sour cherry) and celery seed on top of green pepper and soil on the attack. The midpalate is still rich with dusty fruits and some spices. The finish shows dried leather and moist pipe tobacco, and is short to medium in length.

This is very nice wine- enjoyable, and straight-ahead, it provides a fresh drink and a twist of spice. Balanced and juicy with interesting flavours and pretty decent intensity. Very tastefully made and vibrant, this is ready-to-go. Delightful, solid value.
