Tuesday, January 28, 2020 - Appearance: medium gold, medium tearing, no gas, no rim variation.

Nose: clean, medium+ intensity, developing, lemon, golden apple, fresh yellow pear, green pineapple, green mango, sea spray, bread dough, crème fraîche, smoke, toast, dried apricot, hazelnut, toasted almonds.

Palate: dry, medium+ acid, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ body, medium+ intensity, medium+ finish, lemon, golden apple, fresh yellow pear, green pineapple, sea spray, bread dough, crème fraîche, smoke, toast, dried apricot, hazelnut, toasted almonds.

Overall: A nicely balanced new world Chardonnay; it has a strong acid backbone to anchor the solid fruit intensity (with some slight tropical leanings) and leesy/oaky richness. The salty minerality is also a welcome balancing point to the fruit and oak. This is starting to develop some nice tertiary, nutty notes and a little bit of dried fruit; it has the structure and intensity to age well for many more years. Very enjoyable and a good value!
