Unmistakably southern Italian nose. Smelling this instantly reminds you of sunshine, tomatoes and herbs. To be specific, aromas of rosemary, lavender, potpourri, black pepper, sun dried tomatoes, crushed red pepper, ripe blueberry, ripe strawberries and ripe raspberries. The fruit is almost buried under the herbal aromas. High intensity of aromas. The palate is pretty consistent, adding a note of leather. Overall driven by the herbs. Intensity of flavors is medium +.

Medium + body with medium + acid and low tannins. The lack of tannins was a surprise for something made from 80% Aglianico and made this feel older than 9 years. Drink now. This is not going to get any better; and may be very slightly past peak.
