Wednesday, May 25, 2022 - This is a lot of wine for 26 bucks! Like a lot of aglianico, I don't think it's destined to win any people's choice awards, but the structured, rustic bottle is great by me, especially for the price.

Double decanted. Deep violet with slightly bricking edges. Gamy, animal nose with some raisin. Palate leans redder than I expected, with some fresh blackberry, baking spice, and mineral notes. Finish is on the short side; surprisingly light on tannins, but what's there is rustic. Ready to drink, but no rush.
