Tuesday, September 11, 2018 - Dark, and inky purple in the glass. Nice meaty nose, crushed rocks, pepper with a hint of savory of herbs. On the plate, dark fruits, tapenade some raspberry famed by meaty savory notes. Shortish finish with spicy tannins, Quite complex, and a bit more serious than your average Cotes due Rhone. I like the balance, and the overall profile that brings the mourvèdre to the fore. I think a year or two will help this settled down. Promising.
