Saturday, October 13, 2018 - I thought this might be the last occasion to check in on the 2015 before they go into hibernation… and looks like it was totally worth it!

Pretty explosive and primary notes of sweet dark red and dark fruit, some chocolatey notes and smoke from the barrique that is not disturbing at all, also brown spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), tangy notes of orange zest, and also some red berries with more air, as well as a dark mineral undertone and a touch of menthol. It's medium-full bodied, with excellent purity of fruit (as always with Chevillon's wines), medium-high acidity providing tension and freshness and medium-high tannin that is super silky… comparable to the best vintages of Les Saint-Georges here. Of course a baby in terms of evolution but I am surprised about how open, radiant and delicious it is. I will put my other bottles away for quite a few years but it was totally worth the test-drive…(94-96)

Day 2: No signs of shutting down, still super aromatic, perfumed and seductive. Beautiful.
