Friday, August 30, 2013 - Drank at dinner with neighbors at home. Opened bottle 2 hours before serving and decanted 1 hour before serving. Cork showed some signs of crumbling in the middle but the seal at the bottom appeared to be intact.

Deep ruby color. Nose was not pronounced. Very well balanced balance of tannins with notes of black fruit. Drinking well. Very much enjoyed this wine.

Bought in '11 at Rick Bayless' dinner and silent auction to benefit Frontera Farmer Foundation. Would definitely enjoy drinking this wine again but given its price point am unlikely to be buying it again.

This was bottle no. 187 of 1464 bottles. It's interesting to note that CellarTracker users have input 54 bottles. It appears that CellarTracker users own 3.7% of this vintage.
