Friday, March 8, 2024 - Even after 10 years in the bottle, the tannins seem young and need even more time to flex their taste buds. This bordeaux gets better each year with its ripe blackberry fruit but at the same time, with complex secondary flavors of mushroom, tobacco, licorice and cedar wood. There are hints of forest floor on the finish but I would call this wine earthy. Somehow each year this wine delivers new world fruit in a beautifully complex way unlike other wines from the Napa Valley.
