Saturday, December 17, 2016 - Winebar [Various Reds] for 12/16/16 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): N: FRAGRANT wild straws, poss crans, with toasty undertones & notes of spice

P: Med body; Almost swtish frt on front with TANGY acidy quickly kicking in. Nicely balanced & VERY long, with very fine tannins & ACIDITY currently firming the finish. While this should be excellent now with food, give it 'til mid '18, poss '19, & I'd suspect it will be OUTSTANDING! My first ever Aussie P.N., so I **did** luck out to taste such a very, VERY nicely made one! :) Yet another +, IMO: only 13% ABV! Suckling 95 pts, Halliday also 95 (didn't read the latter) [My score takes into account the relative QPR of this vendor's VERY competitive $38.95]
