Friday, May 8, 2020 - Evolved brick rim but still bright with a good core. Lovely pure nose, evolved silky aged Pinot nose, deliciously beguiling. The fruit is starting to drop out of the palate but still sweet and inviting. Finish drops away a bit but initial dry finish is starting to be covered as the wine opens up. Label says 13% but this feels a bit hotter than that. This bottle is streets ahead of the other two from the same case and is a proper expression of mature Burgundy from a fine vineyard in a great vintage. Happy VE Day!
