Wednesday, February 15, 2023 - 100% Pinot Meunier; champagne from single vineyard "Chemin des Conges" near Epernay. No malolactic fermentation. Matured for 8-12 months in used barriques. Dosage: 2 g/l

Yeasty aroma gives way to bright citrus flavor and good length on the palate. Explosive initial bubbles dissipate within 10 minutes, though the bubbles remain suspended in the wine. Needs more bottle time. Excellent potential. 92+

    4/9/2023 12:45:00 PM - Agree on bottle time — the more the glass cooled, could tell complexity. Don’t know if it’s super age worthy, but maybe? The finish is minutes.
