90 Points

Monday, October 5, 2009 - Incredible QPR for an old-vine Mourvedre/Monastrell from Spain. Nose of blueberry/blackberry, leads to a smooth and easy-drinking palate of black fruit and hints of floral notes in the background, with just enough structure to balance the food-friendly nature of this very pleasant offering. Well-made and pleasing. Makes me wonder if some of the prior postings had corked bottles?
