Sunday, September 6, 2015 - PNP. this is a monster. Very dark, very extracted, very dense. it has some acid but more tannin structure. it fully engages the palate, and I must say maintains incredible balance despite its heft. also manages to be totally ripe without the prunes that can accompany that sometimes. tasted blind I would have guessed (wrongly) that this is syrah based. this is not my preferred style, but it is a marvel to me how they accomplished such ripeness and maintained polish. finally, if this is the baby brother to Eliseo as they suggest I am afraid of her
