Monday, April 24, 2017 - Visit to Chandon de Briailles-2015 Wines (Savigny-lès-Beaune, France): Also full ruby. Ripe cherry aromas and almost chocolatey richness on the attack. Then excellent acidity and a "snap to attention" finish with lingering limestone. Like 2 different wines at this point-great fruit upfront, and the essence of minerality to finish. Exciting potential and I loved tasting the distinct components at this stage, but it will need a long time to knit together and become a unified whole.
