Sunday, August 12, 2018 - Decanting this was a great idea, as it was tight and compact at first. Opened up wonderfully over the course of a few hours. Aromatically, lots of complex earth and spice and savory tones come out with time. Structured for the long haul, but even at this point, the tannins aren't savage. Fresh acid, pretty black cherries, loaded with tobacco, herbs, flowers, earth, some mushroom and other savory tones that will come out more with time. My friend opened this amd has six more, and we agreed it's going to be fun to let these age for quite a while.
