Thursday, July 27, 2023 - Giuseppe's (Scottsdale, AZ): Quite advanced and a bit oxidative, which is possibly reflective and a manifestation of the warm vintage, but not without requisite freshness. There is just enough acidity to hold the deeply pitched grilled lemon and bruised citrus flavors in proper focus; an additional butterscotch note adds interest, dimension, and depth, but also intensifies the sense of an more-aged bottle. For my tastes, and even though I’m not completely confident this still doesn’t have some further integrating to do, I would drink sooner than later.
