Giuseppe's (Scottsdale, AZ): Quite advanced and a bit oxidative, which is possibly reflective and a manifestation of the warm vintage, but not without requisite freshness. There is just enough acidity to hold the deeply pitched grilled lemon and bruised citrus flavors in proper focus; an additional butterscotch note adds interest, dimension, and depth, but also intensifies the sense of an more-aged bottle. For my tastes, and even though I’m not completely confident this still doesn’t have some further integrating to do, I would drink sooner than later.

Another Grand Tasting in Arizona! (Guiseppe's in Scottsdale): PnP - A very nice Chardonnay from Burgundy. A very nice wine that started off our tasting. I actually enjoyed this wine a lot, and had a couple pours. It showed citrus and seashell notes on the nose, and plenty of rich, creamy, buttery notes on the palate, coupled with lemon custard, and minerality in the form of oysters and chalk. The sweet toasted oak also was present, and not yet fully integrated, but also not detracting from the wine. A lovely white Burgundy! 91+ for my palate and thoroughly enjoyable!

C+K's housewarming party (Chicago, IL): Outstanding village-level chardonnay that shows plenty of noble reduction, but also a kiss of oak. Good richness and depth on the palate, without going overboard on the oak. Clearly the product of a ripe and fat vintage, but these are holding up just so well. Yet another bottle that confirms to me how magnificent the 2015 white Burgundy vintage is.

Man I just love Chassagne... And for a village level 2015 this really was top tier!
So much great tension on the nose with popcorn kernels being roasted in butter, mazarin cake, ripe orchard fruits and some citrus fruits sneaking through as well.
The ripe fruit of 2015 was definitely the main factor of the palate with apple, peach, tropical fruits and some pickled lemon. There was also a touch of the mazarin cake again a bit of clove/baking spices. But unlike the Dauvissat from 2015 this had such an alluring acidity from ripe but not overripe citrus fruits and a slight green apple touch while still having the balance and weight and creamy texture and a very long-lasting finish.

Improved compared to the last one in April 2020: the wood is better integrated, there is citrus and white orchard fruit, pretty rich, with just enough acidity to balance. A good bottle which is ready for consumption.

Bottle had been open a few days earlier and I was served this blind. Clearly from a ripe vintage with good depth, I thought this Chassagne 1er Cru from 2016. Best to enjoy in the next few years.

Oddly enough on day one didn't move me all that much and thought it was going pre-mox. And then day two it mulled in and rounded out and a non pre-mox way. So i guess hold?

I enjoyed this. Plenty of life ahead but in het early drinking window now. Can do with some O2. Apple, a hint of stonefruit and melon. Subtle oak. Medium body Vintage comes trough(low acidity). Better on the second day.

Pretty evident menthol on the nose with delicious stone fruit and a fine minerality. Acidity not as vibrant as other Ramonet village wines I have had, but I suspect this may be vintage related. A damn good young village Chassagne.

Nez très révélateur, ce vin est incroyable et en donne beaucoup pour son niveau. J’ai eu beaucoup de plaisir à le boire! Une belle gâterie du temps des fêtes, du Ramonet c’est toujours excellent.

Light hue, beautiful saline, buttery, mineral infused nose, good length & substance, very good for the level but not as good as the 14 drunk 2 months back 90

At the first day a bit disjoint. At the third day: a very nice nose, classy. Taste: rather much oak of good quality, but well balanced with fruit (lemon and apple), with a nice acidity and indeed mint in the finish. At the first day 88-89, at the third 90.

Fairly ripe and showing some tropical notes, but all in good balance. Doesn’t seem like a long-term ager to me. Had the 2014 version recently and I prefer it, though both are quite nice.

From a half bottle in a restaurant, so no detailed notes. Pale colour, enticing nose of tropical fruit. The mouth is good too, with sufficient acidity; possibly slightly short on depth, but definitely not on charm. A success.

The village Chassagne is very pretty in 2015, with a youthfully expressive nose of white peach, mint and green apple, followed by a wine with lovely texture, volume and cut for its level. This reveals greater tension and restraint than the rather buxom Bourgogne Blanc and offers a nice introduction to the Domaine’s style.
