Saturday, October 28, 2023 - Tasted blind. Decanted several hours. A beautifully elegant and fresh red cherry fruit, spicy with mineral layers. Limited intensity, but precise and detailed. Distinctly herbal with sage and oregano. Also marzipan and a touch of mint. Over time adding truffles and smoky notes whilst developing a more sexy raspberry fruit. Soft texture, dense with some weight to it. A great Canon, but can’t quite decide yet whether on a par with 2015 or 2018 in the more recent vintages.
