Tasted at a social event. Clearly very early days here. Nice red berry fruit, sublime mineral note of coal, fleshy and meaty and signature rose water form a classic profile. Precise and delineated. Rather grainy tannins on the palate, but well integrated. Incredibly fresh with a cooler fruit profile. This probably needs another 15 years or so but should be fantastic then.

Tasted at a social event, brief notes only. From Magnum. Spice of anis, black tea and rose water. Slightly darker type of fruit (cherry mostly) along with char coal. The palate then shows much fresher, red type of berries. Highly palatable already, but with many years ahead.

10/3/2020 6:05:00 PM - Awesome to hear 1980 Bordeaux drink well from 1980. Just popped for our 40th anniversary 1980 Dom Rose en magnum. It was special.
3/11/2018 1:02:00 PM - Hi there, I was also at the Arvi 2015 arrivage tasting in Zurich. I was more lucky than you and bought the Figeac on primeur...for me together with d'Yquem the best wine of the tasing. I was also fascintated by the Montrose and will buy the Montrose 2016 now, even if the price has soared in the meantime. Kind regards, Stefan

This was unfortunately oxidized, hard to find much beyond soy sauce.
