Saturday, March 23, 2024 - Deep golden in the glass. Nose developed with aromas of ripe pear, overripe peach, canned pineapple, nougat, roasted peanuts, sea salt. My friend said to not expect much from this wine because it was “past its peak”, but this was actually drinking so good. Not at an ideal stage, but also not overdeveloped. Moderate acidity and alcohol, with some solid fruit concentration still kicking. One or two more years left in this easily. Blind, would definitely guess white Burgundy.
