In the glass, dark, inky ruby red. On the nose, plums, currants, and blueberries, with a muted hint of ground pepper. On the palate, medium-to-full bodied, with more berries, a touch of bell pepper, and a bit of dried herbs to round things out as the tannins finally exercised some grip on the finish.
