Thursday, March 18, 2021 - Not decanted. Deep purple color in the glass with a ruby rim. Earthy aromas of mocha, coffee, cigar box, bay leaf and blackberry. The palate brings slightly under-ripe black cherry, blackberry, mocha and forest floor. Acidity is medium; tannins are also medium and mostly integrated. Finishes at medium length with a touch of dusty earth. Drinking well now, although I wish there was a touch more acidity for balance.
