Saturday, February 18, 2012 - A Few 2005 Oregon Pinots: Decanted 2 hours. Very deeply colored. Firm chunky sediment. Deep but closely held nose offers glimpses of dark fruit, smoke and savory spices. Rich but bright on the palate with a silky texture and black fruit flavors, this wine is complete balanced and long on the finish. Full bodied with the wood and tannins well absorbed, this is still rather unevolved although already delicious. There is a good chance for positive developement. Drink 2014-2018.
