Saturday, August 12, 2017 - this wine won all of our Aussie tastings in early 2000 when it was acquired - has aged into a beautifully balanced shiraz, but not as exciting as in its youth - decidedly eucalyptus nose mingled with blackberries and hints of dark chocolate - full mouth but not quite as rich as other 98 shirazes - velvety medium length finish - love this wine, but I had hoped for more complexity with age - probably too hopeful!
