Thursday, February 8, 2024 - Sangiovese night (Chicago, IL): Very Pergole Torte, with its delicate red fruit and silky texture. Relatively on the lighter side, with less of the raw power of a bigger vintage, and more of an acid-driven elegance. I love the floral perfume here, but the tannins on the back end suggest that a few more years is probably the right course of action.
