Saturday, November 23, 2019 - Despite my alma mater Lehigh U. losing to Lafayette today, we began decorating the house for Christmas tonight. Thought we'd go with the North Star wine...I got a lot of oak on the nose after a good 30 minute decant. Lot of fruit...I call it Jolly Rancher Cherry, some strawberry but good acidity and tannin balance. It was a little single dimensional but very drinkable...loses a point at $20 was hoping for more. A bit left and will update if it's better the second day.
